Creation of Inkigayo Sandwich
Inkigayo Sandwich was introduced by the broadcasting company SBS as a cafeteria meal. This caused many Kpop fans attracted towards the simple sandwich. The sandwich is made in the SBS cafeteria which is only restricted for singers and staff members.
The sandwich was named Inkigayo because many Kpop singers used to eat this sandwich before performing on the stage for the SBS music broadcast titled “Inkigayo.”
It is a simple sandwich consisting of bread, egg salad, potato salad, cabbage salad, and strawberry jam. Even though the recipe is simple according to many artists it tastes delicious.
What is the hype about?
Many Kpop stars have praised the sandwich which has made their fans crave to have the sandwich as well. Since then the sandwich has gained a lot of social media attention. BTS, Seventeen, TWICE, Jung Se-woon, G-Dragon, and many more are obsessed with the sandwich.
Since K-Pop fans cannot enter the SBS cafeteria they are really curious to know how the sandwich tastes. Due to the crazy demand for the sandwich in the market many convenient store outlets such as CU, GS25, and 7-Eleven has introduced their very own Inkigayo Sandwich also known as Idol Sandwich, and Inki Sandwich.
